Smithsonite (Ex Chris Amo Coll.)

ID: 6393
Add to OrderNot checked

Exceptional rhombohedral crystals of smithsonite with deep yellow centers and zoned lighter edges. The temptation is to label it cadmium, but I don’t believe that it is accurate since most Tsumeb smithsonites labeled “cadmium” are pure guesses by collectors and dealers. Wonderful color, zoning and luster on this one, not to mention good sized and well defined crystals.
