Lustrous purple, blocky and gemmy sceptered quartz crystals in the classical pyramidal formation. Great luster and form on this old timer.
A stunning single amethyst/smoky sceptered quartz crystal with 2 moving bubbles inside. Great luster, color and character.
Gemmy smoky quartz crystals sit on a layerof very dark purple fluorite. The crystals are sprinkled with white quartz, purple fluorites and blue apatite crystals. There are some damaged crystals that do not really affect the overall display quality of the piece. This was a one time find in the 90’s and no more have come out.
Smoky crystal of quartz with a coating of lustrous crystals of specular hematite, are sprinkled with tan dolomite crystals. A classic from the Florence Mine.
A doubly terminated, Herkimer like single gemmy quartz crystals with pockets of hydrocarbon, petroleum and air bubbles. It fluoresces a bright green and is great under the scope. You will have fun with this one.
A water-clear, highly lustrous quartz crystal, associated with inclusions of reticulated, red rutile crystals. Choice old timer from NC’s most famous locality!
A specimen of silvery grey tetrahedrite crystals are associated with clear quartz crystals and golden pyrites, possibly galena and other sulfides. Old timer, probably from the 50’s.
Dirty white crystals of dolomite form a mound next to a water clear quartz crystal that’s included by chlorite. Both of these sit on a matrix of silvery arsenopyrite crystals that are also partly coated by brassy marcasite. You will love the chlorite inclusions under magnification.
Several well formed pseudo-octahedrons of scheelite with exceptional luster and a deep gemmy orange color sit on a matrix of clear quartz crystals. The largest scheelite is 4 cm end to end and sits near the top of the specimen. A stunning example of scheelite from Pakistan, yes Pakistan! One of the best and most aesthetic pieces I have seen from this locality!
A jet-black lustrous schorl crystal penetrates a group of clear, lightly smoky quartz crystals. Fabulous piece in exceptional condition!
