A pair of water clear calcite prisms with smaller crystals on a matrix of hematite stained calcites.
A superb, complex gemmy and lustrous twinned crystal of calcite sits on a tan limestone matrix. These are some of my favorite calcites. Almosta 360 degree specimen.
A pair of water clear prisms of calcite on matrix. There’s a tiny nick on one of the terminations. This little guy was found during an excavation near the airport in Skardu, and I don’t think there’ll be any more. A find for the serious calcite collector!
A wonderful group of straw yellow calcite crystals with a great degree of luster and transparency. Mined in 1986.
Small pastel crystals of calcite are sprinkled over areas of sharp fluorite cubes with yellow centers and ,medium purple edges. As you can see, some of the cubes have slightly hoppered faces.
A beautiful, twinned, very gemmy calcite prism sits on a bit of purple fluorite. Super miniature mined in 1985.
Several columnar crystal aggregates of kutnohorite have been completely replaced by manganoan calcite and are sprinkled with a dust of manganese. Fluoresces orange under both LW and SW.
