Compact crystals of smithsonite with a marvelous deep amber color that ranges to a dull tan grey on one corner of the specimen. Bubbly goethite is also present throughout the specimen. The Ojuela Mine is not known for producing smithsonite (even though its a zinc mine) and I have never seen this color before. This was a lot of about 6 pieces and I chose this one, my favorite of the lot.
