A 3 cm group of nearly black, intergrown manganocolumbite crystals with a matte finish sits at the center of a white albite matrix with minor quartz and flanked by two pastel pink prismatic crystals of morganite. The rear reveals an oddly shaped flattened quartz crystal.

Orpiment on Calcite “Floater”

A very special piece from the Shimen Mine in China. It is a two sided specimen where calcite prisms are selectively sprinkled with acicular orpiment crystals and are completely blanketed on the other side. It is undamaged (very rare for Shimen specimens) and is a complete floater. Super!

One of the strangest quartz specimens I have come across. Distorted, sceptered clear quartz crystals are overlapping milky quartz crystals creating white phantoms, with crystals growing in every direction and minor fluorite. Bizarre.
