Cerussite on Smithsonite (ex U of Arizona Coll.)

Sharp cyclical twins of cerussite scattered on a matrix of galena that is amply coated by very sharp crystals of smithsonite. There are also orange yellow micro crystals on the surface that have not been identified, maybe tsumcorite (?)

Scheelite on Quartz

ID: 6208
Add to OrderNot checked

Several well formed pseudo-octahedrons of scheelite with exceptional luster and a deep gemmy orange color sit on a matrix of clear quartz crystals. The largest scheelite is 4 cm end to end and sits near the top of the specimen. A stunning example of scheelite from Pakistan, yes Pakistan! One of the best and most aesthetic pieces I have seen from this locality!

Smithsonite (Ex. J. Schneider Coll.)

ID: 6201
Add to OrderNot checked

Very sharp rhombs of lustrous smithsonite intermixed with dark sulfides (probably tennantite and galena) and micro quartz crystals. The color of the crystals are a pale pink with yellow/tan zones, which is difficult to capture on camera. The crystals are in perfect condition and the unusually zoned coloration is much better appreciated in person. I would be tempted to call it cobaltoan, were it not for the yellowish zones.

Beryl Var. Bi-colored in a Biotite cast after Beryl. Ex H. Obodda Coll.

ID: 6200
Add to OrderNot checked

A bi-colored naturally etched beryl crystal (pastel blue and pink) sits inside a pastel greyish cast of biotite crystals. Herb’s label says aquamarine, but I believe the center of the crystal runs towards pink morganite. One of the most unique specimens I have ever encountered. * For some reason I could not get blue color correctly on photos, they appear greener than they are, instead of blue.

Plumbogummite on Pyromorphite

ID: 6123
Add to OrderNot checked

Medium to dark blue spheroidal groups and coatings of compact plumbogummite crystals over yellow pyromorphite crystals that sit on a white matrix. One contact on a sphere shows the radiating nature of the minerals. The color on this batch of specimens rivals the best I have ever seen for the species.
